Possession date/pick up date

I consider this to be the date upon which we have agreed that you will take possession of your goat. This can either be via pick up at the farm, delivery by myself, pick up by a hauler, or taken to the airport.

All possible actions are taken to ensure our animals health and safety while in my care. Once they are out of my hands, I have no control over what happens to them.

In the case of accidental death, serious injury, or illness. You will be contacted and we can decided how to proceed, I will either refund your deposit or if you paid in full a complete refund, or option to take a replacement animal on site or from a future breeding. In case of mild illness, and you wish to still get your goat, we can postpone possession until your goat is healthy for travel.

In the case of picking up at the farm please understand this is by appointment only, and only our driveway is accessible to the public. Pens and Barns are strictly off limits to the visiting public. This is nothing against you, its our policy to protect our herd health from outside viruses, bacteria, and diseases. Many of which you could unknowingly track in on your footwear.

If picking up at the farm please ensure that you have either an enclosed safe trailer such as a horse or stock trailer, a truck bed with a cap, a crate in the back of your truck that's sheltered as to not let in wind or rain, or a crate inside your vehicle. Anyone showing up with unsafe transport will be refused. You will have to make another appointment or other arrangements to transport your goat(s).

It is up to you to choose a safe and reliable ground transport hauler if going this route. I will not replace animals who get sick or injured during transport. It is your responsibility to ensure safe travel for your new goat(s). I can suggest a good hauler but ultimately it is up to you. If i have to drive to meet your hauler I will add a small fee to cover my costs and time in doing so.

If flying you new goat to you, please be aware that airfare needs to be paid at the time of booking, also using air shipping your goat(s) will require and airline approved shipping crate which you can either mail to me in advance or i can purchase one, if i purchase one you are responsible for this cost. I charge $50 for the trip to the airport which is approx 1.5 hrs away. Nearest airport is YQT or Thunder Bay international Airport. I use WestJet to ship goats.

If you miss your pick up date and have not made other arrangements with me you forfeit your deposit, and your goat(s) will be resold. In the case that you have paid in full for your goat(s), you will be charged $5 a care in care and maintenance until you do pick up your goat. Once the board adds up to the price you paid for your goat(s) the goats will be considered abandoned and sold to another buyer.

Again, once an animal leaves my physical possession be it via pick up, delivery, to a hauler or to westjet, I am no longer responsible for your animal.

No animal will leave my property without being paid in full.

No animal will be available for pick up before 8 weeks of age, unless it is a bottle baby(which is very rare). The earliest we wean animals is 8 weeks of age and that is usually only bucklings whom are mature for their age, Doelings i like to leave on mom until 10 to 12 weeks of age. If i deem an animal not ready to wean at 8 weeks of age I will not release that animal until i feel he or she is ready. This is to avoid babies who don't thrive as well, or who may be more susceptible to illness.

Sales

I require a 25% deposit to hold any animal until the possession date. These are non-refundable unless the animal accidentally dies, gets injured or is too ill to travel. No animals leave the farm without being paid in full. If you decide to pay for your animal in full, this is also non-refunable unless the animal accidentally dies, gets injured, or is too ill to travel while in my care.

A deposit does NOT give you permission to visit the farm whenever you please or to bring friends to see the baby you put a deposit on. I will however provide you with pictures of videos of your baby weekly until the time of possession. I know how exciting it is to await the possession date and I don't wish to deprive you of watching your new baby grow, but we do have to look out for everyone else's new babies as well, so we do offer photos and videos instead of visits. If only a deposit is made, we reserve the right to refund the deposit and cancel the sale for any reason.
